![]() Where I'm scrounging for health potions with Linda - Lucy is leaving a wake of them behind her. Enjoy the combination of hand painted pixel. Before you Play the Children of Morta game, you will definitely want to know these simple but useful tips and tricks. Children of Morta Tips and Tricks for Getting Started. The biggest advantage Lucy has is her shield, in my opinion. Characters have different sets of unique skills - some preferring close combat, while others act as spell casters. Characters Guide (Skills, Traits and How to Unlock). ![]() Or maybe I am doing better than everyone else because I have gotten where I have with so few health/damage upgrades (why spend money on health and damage when you can spend money on getting more money? I've told you before, people are a renewable resource.) - from what others are saying, some characters just aren't viable until you've hit a certain amount of damage/health they have. But I seem to do better with Lucy than I do with most other characters at this point, occasionally to include Linda. ![]() I'm not sure how good/bad this play style is, as I feel like my mastery of this game is rather subpar compared to others. I use her dodge both to gain distance before firing and to avoid losing shields when shepherding a group of enemies. I generally aggro a huge mob with Lucy, then either lay a tornado if I have enough distance, or a decoy, dodge out, then start firing. Her damage output hardly matters to me, because she can take on basically anything just with her excellent skillset (mob control and survivability). I use it for situations where the above is not enough to handle the crowd.Īs usual don't forget to plan for divine reliquies should you happen to have them.Ĭontrary to what others have written, I have done basically everything with Linda first and never felt that she needed certain upgrades to get the job done. Its main advantage is, that you can now move and blast at the same time (like Linda). One tactic is to place Tornado in choke points and then blast away, while everything sits helpless in it (don't move too far away from the Tornado, just far enough that stuff can't hit you).ĭecoy is a tool that I use to distract ranged enemies and things with hazards long enough for me to kill them. Her AoE is also decent once she's warmed up and fires sparks to go with her main attack. Lucy has tremendous range and can even hit things offscreen. The basic mindset "how do I place my skills and myself in this terrain against these mobs, so that I can stand still in one place and blast away as much as possible?" Family Trials - a mode separate from the Main Story campaign, offering new systems, items, objectives, character builds, and more - all set in a series of completely randomized dungeons. In my mind Lucy is all about mob control and positioning. multiple dungeons set in different biomes passive and active items modifying each run I've read that 20 is the cap and that characters stop gaining any progress on their XP bar once they've invested 20 skill points total, which would mean it's important to be selective in choosing skills when developing characters, since one can't unlock everything for a given character (not by a long shot). emotional tale focused on a family of heroes local co-op - play as two Bergsons together against the Corruption! Additional controller required. It’s a story about a valiant family standing together while the world around them is being devoured by darkness. it's not a story about saving the universe. With the Corruption spreading through the land, guardians of the Mountain Morta have to stand up against the ancient evil. It is a story of simple emotions we all know so well and value more than sometimes we dare to admit: love and hope, longing and uncertainty, ultimately loss and sacrifice we are willing to make to save the ones we care the most for.Įmbark on the adventure of an extraordinary family of heroes. Lucy My favorite, but the lack of mobility really cripples her ability to deal with large numbers. The ranged characters are fun, but single-target damage is much too slow. Endlessly kiting enemies is highly inefficient. Children of Morta sets its story in a distant land but copes with themes closer to our daily lives that one would expect. Linda The safest character, but has one of the slowest kill/clear speeds.
